Romance: dating, proposals and marriage

Dating and dates

1. Reach eight hearts with an eligible candidate. If the next event does not appear, check that character's prior heart event and story requirements.
2. Complete the heart quest and choose Romantic Path. Best Friends selects the platonic route.
3. Confirm that the relationship now shows Dating before looking for date invitations.
4. On Saturday or Sunday, speak to that partner and choose an unlocked Date. You can invite each partner once per week.

You can date more than one candidate before committing to marriage. Festival dates have their own event prerequisites; the weekend rule above applies to regular dates.

Proposal and wedding

The ring needs a material obtained after reaching mine floor 100, so ten hearts alone will not supply everything needed to craft it. Caldarus also requires Breaking The Final Seal before marriage; follow the mine and seal route if that story requirement is still unfinished.

1. Reach ten hearts with a Dating partner. Elsie delivers the Engagement Ring recipe the following morning; use the scroll to learn it.
2. Gather the materials below and finish the required mine progression. Check your Blacksmithing level before crafting.
3. Craft the ring, hold it and speak to your partner. Select Discuss to begin the proposal conversation.
4. Check the breakup settings below before confirming an engagement. You can postpone the proposal; starting the conversation alone does not commit you.
5. After confirming, choose a wedding day at least five days later. Your spouse moves into the Farmhouse after the wedding; you can be married to only one candidate at a time.

Craft the Engagement Ring at an ordinary forge

The checked Engagement Ring revision 61705 lists Blacksmithing level 30 and 40 in-game minutes before time-reduction perks. Once you have learned the scroll, use the anvil outside the Blacksmith or an ordinary farm Forge, select Engagement Ring and confirm that the finished ring appears in your inventory.

Make the Dragon-Forged Core at the Dragon Forge, then bring it back for the ring recipe. Follow the Core recipe and mine unlocks for that separate craft. The ring's four Mistril Ingots do not include the additional ingot consumed when making the Core.

Choose breakup settings before confirming the engagement

If you are dating several people, decide what should happen to the other relationships before you accept the proposal's final confirmation. The engagement tutorial makes these options available in Settings → Gameplay.

After the tutorial, open Gameplay settings, choose the option you want, then return to the proposal decision. If the settings are not available yet, complete the tutorial before confirming. The official 1.0 notes require the status-preserving option to be enabled in advance; do not rely on switching it on after the engagement to restore a relationship.

Plan the wedding with your fiancé

In the days before the wedding, speak to your fiancé and follow the wedding-planning dialogue to choose the flower colour, cake flavour and reception meal. Check the festival preparation dates before settling on a wedding day.

Candidates

Choose a partner, then prepare their gifts: Eiland's loved gifts, Reina's guide, or Caldarus's romance route. Use the gift search for other characters.

The twelve current marriage candidates are Adeline, Balor, Caldarus, Celine, Eiland, Hayden, Juniper, March, Reina, Ryis, Seridia, and Valen. Romance is available to people marked single in the Social tab; the candidate list has no player-gender restriction. Use the list to identify an eligible person, then consult that person's Heart Events record for any route-specific gate.

Farmhouse upgrades

Farmhouse upgrades take effect immediately at the Carpenter. They enlarge rooms but are not a marriage gate. Keep their material budget separate from the eight-heart, Dating, and proposal checks.

For gifts, use the gift guide; for the Bathhouse destination, use the Bathhouse Date guide. Those pages answer item and destination questions without changing the shared romance requirements. Check them after confirming the candidate has reached the relevant relationship state.

Before your first date photo

Use a Date Inspiration item from your inventory to unlock its Date type. The first time you take each Date type with a partner, you receive its Photo Card. Choose your outfit and check the weather and time before inviting them; these affect the photo. The checked Dates revision does not list a way to retake it. Display the card on a wall in your house to view it later.

Have a child after marriage

Show the post-marriage family steps

1. Wait two weeks after the wedding, then sleep to trigger the Great Bird dream.
2. Check your inventory the next morning for Mystical Feather. Hold it and speak with your spouse to discuss a child; you can postpone the decision.
3. After agreeing, sleep again. In the next dream, choose the delivery option.
4. Check the calendar. The birth is scheduled two weeks after that second dream.

The spouse will not initiate the decision. After delivery, you can carry the baby or place it in the Baby Cradle mailed by Landen. Version 1.0 permits one child, who remains an infant; do not wait for a later growth stage as a quest trigger.

In the second dream, the Great Bird can deliver the baby. You may instead choose to carry the baby yourself, regardless of your pronouns or partner's gender; a female spouse can also carry it. These are delivery choices, not a way to select the child's gender or appearance. Those are set by the spouse, with a skin-tone variation based on the player; the name is editable at birth.

By default your spouse carries the baby during their schedule. You can take over without losing access to your normal activities, or use the cradle when you prefer not to carry them. Family choices and childcare, revision 61802.

Where to get date inspiration items

Choose the activity you want before searching for its item. The dating requirement below means an active Dating relationship, not merely enough hearts. Obtaining the item does not replace the usual date requirements.

For a random find, use the listed activity after meeting its gate. These sources do not provide a guaranteed number of attempts. Do not spend time digging on another map for the Dollhouse Bench or buy soap before checking your relationship state.

Wedding and kissing changes in v1.0.5

Your pet now appears in the wedding scene. The patch repairs the festival-day spouse schedule crash; affected spouses return to their normal schedule the following day. A later hotfix in the same announcement also fixes kissing crashes. Update before reproducing one of these failures. Official patch and hotfix notes。
