Loved desserts
The verified named loved desserts are Chocolate Cake, Coconut Cream Pie, Glowberry Cookies, Golden Cheesecake, Golden Cookies, Ice Cream Sundae, Mont Blanc, Pumpkin Pie, Spell Fruit Parfait, and Strawberry Shortcake. Each name comes from Eiland's published Gifts record, so the list is useful when choosing between desserts already in your inventory. The same record lists Void Cake, but its story connection makes it a separate decision below.
Already have one of these desserts? Set aside one serving for Eiland and keep anything needed for another quest or recipe. All loved gifts give the same friendship points, so there is no need to use a rarer dessert when another is ready.
Buy a gift without a kitchen
- Complete Repair the Bridge to unlock the Saturday Market.
- On Saturday, go to the town square and interact with Darcy's stall, which sells desserts, drinks and recipes.
- Check the prepared-food stock against this table. Buying a recipe scroll does not put the finished dessert in your bag.
- Buy one available loved dessert and keep it for Eiland. If his birthday is approaching, store it until Summer 20 instead of relying on another market restock.
| Ready-made gift | Purchase price at Darcy's |
|---|---|
| Strawberry Shortcake | 600t |
| Chocolate Cake | 650t |
| Pumpkin Pie | 1,000t |
| Ice Cream Sundae | 1,200t |
Of these four options, Strawberry Shortcake is the least expensive when stocked. They give the same loved-gift points, so spending 1,200t does not buy a larger friendship gain. If none is stocked, keep your money for the next visit or use a loved gift you already own.
Cook Chocolate Cake or Pumpkin Pie
The recipe prices below are paid once; ingredients and kitchen access are separate. Both recipes need a better kitchen than a new player starts with, so buying a finished dessert is simpler before meeting these conditions.
| Requirement | Chocolate Cake | Pumpkin Pie |
|---|---|---|
| Recipe source | Darcy's rotating stock, 400t | Darcy's stock or Harvest Festival, 600t |
| Cooking level | 20 | 38 |
| Kitchen tier | 2 | 3 |
| Ingredients for one | 1 Chocolate, 1 Flour, 1 Sugar, 1 Chicken Egg | 1 Pumpkin, 1 Flour, 1 Sugar, 1 Milk, 1 Chicken Egg |
| Base cooking time | 40 minutes | 50 minutes |
Learn the scroll, bring the ingredients to a kitchen of the required tier, open its cooking menu and select the dessert. Make one serving, then check the finished dish in your inventory before leaving. Cooking perks can reduce the displayed time; the table gives base values.
Use the cooking guide for kitchen access and recipe planning, and the crop guide for growing ingredients.
Void Cake
Void Cake is a story-specific item associated with The Dragonsworn Tablet. It appears in Eiland's published loved-gift record, but it should be tracked separately from repeatable dessert inventory because its story context matters. Carrying Void Cake does not make it interchangeable with every named dessert in the ordinary planning list.
Use an ordinary dessert for regular visits if you want to retain the story item. For that quest's mine progression, see the mine and seal guide.
Gift routine
Eiland can receive one gift per day, like other giftable characters. On an ordinary day, one verified loved dessert awards +20 Friendship Points. Giving a second item on the same day does not create another daily gift result, so save it for a later visit or another purpose.
His birthday is Summer 20; a loved gift then gives +40 Friendship Points. Reserve the day's gift slot for that dessert, because birthdays do not remove the one-gift-per-day limit.
When no listed dessert is ready, separate the question of eligibility from the question of preference. A neutral gift still awards +3 Friendship Points under the shared Friendship table, while an item with no gift prompt cannot be used at all. This gives you a clear fallback without labeling an unverified substitute as loved.
- Open the map with M and locate Eiland's portrait. Travel to the shown building or area, checking again if he has moved.
- A convenient weekly meeting is Friday at the Sleeping Dragon Inn from 6 PM. Eiland joins the town gathering; his table can depend on the story arc.
- Put the finished dessert on your toolbar, select it with the mouse wheel, and stand close to Eiland. Follow the gifting prompt; default Interact is E / right-click on PC. Use your own binding if changed.
- Confirm that he accepts the item and responds to the gift. Save the next serving for another day. G is Throw Item, so do not use it to deliver the dessert.
The gift guide explains the shared preference values and Elsie's Gossip mechanic. The characters guide is the starting point for the wider romance roster. Use this page for the exact Eiland dessert names, then return to the shared pages only for rules that apply to everyone.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Darcy is missing | Check that the bridge quest is complete and it is Saturday, then go to the town square. |
| No cake in stock | Stock rotates; check another listed dessert or return next Saturday. |
| Buying did not give me a cake | Check whether you bought the recipe scroll; learn it and cook the dish. |
| Recipe cannot be cooked | Check the learned recipe, cooking level, kitchen tier and every ingredient in the table. |
If the item shows no gift prompt, select another giftable item first. Then compare its exact name with the verified dessert list instead of relying on its appearance or broad food category. A prompt confirms that the game accepts it as a gift, while the Gifts record is what establishes a loved preference.
If you already gave Eiland a gift today, wait until the next day before using another dessert for him. The limit is one gift per character per day, including on birthdays. Keep the additional dessert for a future gift, a request, or another planned use rather than spending it on an unavailable action.
If the only available listed item is Void Cake, pause and decide whether to preserve its story-specific use. If you keep it, use another verified dessert later instead of treating a different cake as equivalent. If you give it, record that choice so a later route does not assume the story item remains in inventory.
If the point gain is lower than expected, check three facts in order: the item name, whether it was Eiland's birthday, and whether the item was actually accepted through the gift prompt. These checks separate a category mismatch from a calendar mistake or an unavailable interaction. They also avoid adding unverified preference values to the guide.
