For fields of mistria most profitable crop, compare crops with the values shown in the save you are playing. Record seed cost, growth or regrowth time, base harvest quantity, raw sale value, planting day, and the last day of the season. Use one consistent formula for every candidate, then choose the result that fits your cash, collection, cooking, and workload goals.
Choose the comparison before doing the math
Decide whether the question means raw sales, processed goods, cooking ingredients, museum progress, or a mix of goals. A crop that wins a raw-cash comparison may be less useful when the save needs a donation, recipe stock, gift, or lower daily workload. Keep those goals in separate columns or notes so one number does not silently answer several different questions.
For the cleanest starting comparison, use one farm tile and raw sales only. Apply the same quality, skill, perk, spell, tool, and labor assumptions to every candidate. State the planting day and season because a late planting can change the number of available harvests.
Record inputs from the current save
Open the seed shop or item information and write down the seed cost shown by the game. Read the growth or regrowth time, then note the base quantity received from an ordinary harvest and the raw item sale value on the same save. Keep every input in one row before calculating a result.
Use a simple note for each candidate. Keep the same fields for every row. Record these inputs:
- crop name and season;
- planting day and last usable season day;
- seed cost;
- growth days and regrowth days, if any;
- base items per harvest;
- raw sale value per item;
- quality, perk, spell, and processing assumptions excluded from the row.
If a tooltip and a calendar count appear to use different conventions, test one planting and write down both the planted date and first harvest date. Use that observed elapsed time consistently for the remaining calculation. Do not mix inclusive and elapsed-day counts in the same comparison.
Calculate single-harvest crops
Let P be the planting day, g the elapsed growth days, and S the final usable season day. The first harvest occurs on P + g when that date is no later than S. An immediately replanted single-harvest crop can be harvested floor((S - P) / g) times.
Multiply harvest count by base items per harvest and raw sale value to get revenue. Multiply the number of plantings by seed cost to get seed spending. Raw seasonal profit is revenue minus seed spending.
Run the formula once for every crop using inputs from the same save and the same assumptions. Keep the literal inputs beside the answer so an update or a different planting day can be recalculated quickly. A row without all required inputs stays out of the ranking instead of receiving an estimated value.
Calculate regrowing crops
For a regrowing crop, let r be the elapsed days between later harvests. When the first harvest fits in the season, harvest count is 1 + floor((S - (P + g)) / r). Seed spending normally uses the number of seeds planted, while revenue uses every completed harvest.
Late planting matters more when the first growth period is long. Recalculate with the actual planting day instead of assuming every field starts on day one. A crop with a strong full-season result can lose that advantage when too few days remain for later harvests.
Keep base yield and bonus yield separate. If a skill, quality roll, perk, spell, or other effect changes quantity or price, make a second scenario rather than altering only one crop's row. That preserves a fair comparison between candidates.
Treat processing as a separate route
Processed profit needs the complete recipe, quantity of every input, output quantity, output price, and any workstation or time cost you choose to count. Do not add a processing bonus to a raw-sale table without subtracting all ingredients. Build a second table or note for cooking and crafting routes.
Opportunity cost matters when an ingredient could have been sold raw or used in another recipe. Write that choice beside the processed result, especially when the save also needs museum or quest items. A higher money total may still be the wrong choice for the current goal.
Choose the crop for this save
Sort completed raw-sale rows by profit, then review the planting-day and workload assumptions. Remove any crop that cannot finish before the season ends on the day you plan to plant it. Compare the remaining options with storage, stamina, watering, collection, gift, and cooking needs.
The best answer is the row that fits the current plan, not a number copied from another version or save. Keep the input sheet and update only the values that change. That makes the ranking quick to refresh after a patch, a later planting date, or a new perk.
