Before you fish: confirm that today can produce the target
Prerequisites
- The Legendary fishing skill must already be unlocked.
- Today must match the target's season and listed weather.
- You need a Fishing Rod, a reachable matching water type, and room to hold one catch for the Museum.
Filter the four conditions
The Legendary skill is required before legendary fish can appear. Filter the table by today’s season and water, then match the listed weather and shadow size. Cherry Fish is a spring route and Leaf Fish is a fall route; the morning “A legendary fish is nearby...” message includes the silhouette available that day.

- Match the season and weather first; Cherry Fish and Leaf Fish need Wind, Lightning Fish needs Storm or Thunderstorm, and Snow Fish needs Blizzard.
- Go to the listed water type and cast at the listed shadow size.
- Keep fishing that condition rather than switching water types: each row identifies a different fish route.
The table is intentionally limited to the four fully documented legendary rows. It does not treat a generic small or medium shadow as proof that a legendary fish is present.
Completion check
Treat an attempt as complete only when the catch result names the target and its season, water, weather, and shadow conditions match its table row. Immediately reserve that one-per-save fish for the Museum; a morning message or a matching shadow alone is not a completed catch.
Troubleshooting: a missed attempt
If there is no morning legendary message, the day does not meet a listed legendary condition. If the message is present but the target does not appear, recheck the row’s water type and shadow size before leaving the area. The Lightning Fish is the only listed target with two accepted weather labels: Storm and Thunderstorm.
Do not retry a catch by changing seasons or weather in the table. Wait for the target’s documented condition; each legendary fish belongs to exactly one season.
Donate the one-per-save catch
The Fish Wing’s Legendary Fish Set requires all four legendary fish, unlike the usual five-item Museum set. Since each variety is limited to one catch per save, take the fish to the Museum before selling, gifting, or using it for another purpose.

Wedding-day notifications after v1.0.5
The game no longer displays the legendary-fish notification on your wedding day. A missing popup that day does not mean your perks or save are broken. The patch note does not establish a change to spawn rules. Official patch and hotfix notes。
