Dating unlocks weekend date invitations and lets the relationship advance beyond the earlier cap. The game permits dating more than one eligible character at once, so choosing Caldarus does not force an immediate decision about everyone else. Still, keep the final engagement consequence in mind before you use a ring, because that later confirmation is the point where the roster changes.
Reach ten hearts and propose with the ring
