Before you donate: reserve one first copy
Prerequisites
- Complete the story quest Museum Donations Wanted before taking a collection trip.
- Carry a first copy that belongs to a visible, incomplete set; keep it separate from anything you plan to sell.
- For legendary fish, confirm the catch name before leaving the water, because each one is limited to one per save.
Unlock and use the Museum
The Museum is west of Mistria in The Narrows. Its unlock is the story quest “Museum Donations Wanted.” It has four wings—Archaeology, Fish, Flora, and Insects—and 1.0 made the Museum completable and its wing rooms viewable.
Across all wings, the current collection lists 82 sets and 409 donation items. Treat that total as a long-term collection target, not a reason to carry every item on every trip.
Match a wing to an activity

Pick one visible set before an activity. That gives a clear keep-or-sell rule: reserve an item that fills the chosen set and free the rest of the bag for the day’s route.
Protect set items
Most Museum sets require five specified donations. The Fish Wing’s Legendary Fish Set is the exception and requires four: Cherry Fish, Leaf Fish, Lightning Fish, and Snow Fish. Each legendary variety can be caught once per save, so route it to the Museum first.
For ordinary fish, start with the fishing guide. For the four special conditions, use the legendary fish guide. A completed set’s reward is determined by that wing’s total completed-set count; it is not tied to the identity of the last set turned in.
Completion check
The Museum confirms a completed donation in the selected wing. A set is complete only when every named slot in that set is filled; then use the wing's completed-set total to check which reward milestone you reached. Do not use a full inventory or a received reward as proof that an unrelated set was completed.
Troubleshooting

| You do not know whether to keep an item | The target wing or set was never selected. | Open one incomplete set before the activity and reserve only its named missing items. |
| A legendary fish was nearly sold | The catch was treated as an ordinary duplicate. | Take the first named legendary catch to the Fish Wing before selling or gifting anything. |
Search the complete donation catalog
- Choose the wing and set you are missing in the in-game Museum collection, then match those names in the catalog below.
- Search the missing item's name and expand its entry. Read the documented method and location before leaving; do not assume an unspecified location means it spawns everywhere.
- For fish, check the fishing catalog for season, weather and water type. For artifacts, check the archaeology list below for any required perk before digging.
- Keep the missing donation copy. After donating, confirm its slot is filled in that set; look up rewards by completed sets in the same wing.
If filters return no results, clear the item search and check the selected wing/set. Late-game entries require the spoiler toggle; an empty result does not mean the item is unobtainable.
Search all 409 donation items, or filter the 82 sets by wing and set name. Late-game collections stay hidden until you choose to show spoilers. Expand an item for its documented acquisition method and location where available. English names are searchable in both languages; Chinese labels are editorial translations, not a claim of official localization.

Turn spare artifacts into display furniture
Use the Artifact Replicator at the Museum when you want to display an artifact on your farm. The developer announcement quoted in Artifact Replicator revision 60588 gives one completed Archaeology set as its unlock. That page's infobox instead says any wing; follow the documented Archaeology route rather than assuming a Fish or Flora set is sufficient.
- Complete an Archaeology set, then check the Museum for the replicator.
- Identify the artifact and reserve its first Museum donation. Bring a spare you are willing to convert into furniture.
- Check the collection catalogue for Replica plus the artifact's English name. Dig Site materials have no replicas; Clay, Peat, Shards, Shard Mass and Sod are not valid display-replica targets.
- At the replicator, choose the supported artifact and convert it, then place the resulting replica on your farm as furniture.
The machine converts an input artifact; do not treat it as a free duplicator that preserves your only copy. The checked table lists replica sale prices of 75t, often below the original artifact's price. Compare the original's sale value and any Archaeology sale perks before processing extras for money. The purpose of the conversion is a placeable display item.
To start digging, look for a visible dig spot rather than hitting arbitrary ground. Equip a pickaxe or shovel and use it on that spot; grass, sand and dirt can all contain spots. Identify the artifact you receive before checking whether the Museum needs it.
If a whole set never appears, check its perk gate before repeating the route: Well Placed for Oopart, Former Farmers for Vintage Farm Tools, Lost to History for Ritual, Sunken Secrets for diving's Sunken set, and Aquatic Antiquities for the rod-fished Aquatic set. The Mist set has its separate offering process below. Western Ruins Scholar and Eastern Road Scholar each add a daily dig spot in their named region; Stoneturner can add artifact drops when breaking mine rocks.
Collect the Ritual set from chamber urns
The Ritual set needs Ritual Beads, Ritual Chalice, Ritual Incense Burner, Ritual Scepter and Ritual Tablet, one of each. Open the large urn in a Ritual Chamber to find them; ordinary mine dig spots do not supply these five artifacts. Their shared source is recorded in the Archaeology Wing's Ritual set.
You need Mining 45 and 155 Essence to buy Lost to History at the mine statue, then keep it enabled. Follow the Ritual Chamber walkthrough for the room, interaction and daily limit. Outcomes are random, so keep checking the five donation slots rather than counting visits. The urn can also award cosmetics.
In the archaeology list, enable spoilers and choose Open the large urn in a Ritual Chamber under How to find to isolate all five entries. Keep each missing first copy, donate it to Archaeology and check that its named Ritual slot is filled. The set is complete when all five slots are filled.
Every wing reward milestone
Choose a wing below, then look up completed sets in that wing—not individual donations or the combined total across all four wings. The table contains all 82 documented milestones: 22 Archaeology, 22 Fish, 19 Flora, and 19 Insects. Reveal spoilers to include late rewards.
For example, completing your fifth Fish set awards a Silver Treasure Box, a blue Fishing Bed and its recipe, and a blue Fishing Double Bed and its recipe. Completing five sets spread across different wings does not reach that milestone. “+ recipe” means the source lists both the furniture and its crafting recipe, not just a recipe.

Identify an artifact before trying to donate it
An Unidentified Artifact cannot yet be donated, sold or gifted. Select it in the toolbar and hold E or right-click on default PC controls. After the item changes to a named artifact, check its Museum donation status in the Almanac and bring the first missing copy to the Museum.
Mist Sight and Mist Spot spoilers
Find and open today's Mist Spot
- Keep Mist Sight enabled when a new day begins. One spot is placed somewhere in Mistria, the Eastern Road, the Deep Woods, the Narrows, the Western Ruins, Sweetwater Farm or the Beach. It is not a fixed daily marker in one region.
- Carry at least 10 Essence and search those areas during your other errands. A Mist Spot is not a shovel dig spot; interact with it to make the offering. With insufficient Essence, you cannot interact with it.
- Check the resulting item before selling or donating. The spot disappears after dispensing its reward. An unused spot also disappears at day's end, so skipping days does not build up extra spots.
The pool contains five Mist artifacts, two cosmetic unlocks and 28 furniture variants. An artifact is not guaranteed, and the pool contains no crafting recipes. Already-unlocked cosmetics are rerolled; furniture and artifact duplicates can still occur. Reserve a missing artifact for the Archaeology Wing and use the collection catalogue to identify furniture variants.

Why a donated material has no replica
The Dig Site Material Set belongs to the Archaeology wing, but its materials are not artifact inputs and have no corresponding replicas. If the Replicator will not accept one, choose an actual artifact with a replica entry instead; completing the collection does not make every donation a furniture ingredient.
