Buy in this order

Each item adds 10 inventory slots. The Bag Upgrade total of 30 assumes the Basic Pouch has already been used.

Use each upgrade

1. Buy the Pouch or Bag Upgrade from the General Store when its requirement is met.
2. Open your inventory and use the purchased item.
3. Confirm the capacity changed: 20 after Basic Pouch, then 30 after Bag Upgrade.
4. Put frequently used tools in the expanded toolbar tabs and keep project materials in the remaining slots.

Both upgrades are inventory-use items; they cannot be sold or gifted. The toolbar grows as the inventory grows, so the added space also creates another 10-slot toolbar tab per upgrade.

Pack a Mine trip

Still learning the daily routine? Return to the first-week walkthrough and choose your next unfinished objective. Before carrying gifts on a town trip, check the recipient in the gift guide so you only pack the items you need.

Use the expanded inventory for a deliberate mix: leave room for the route's quest item, Mine resources, and a first Museum copy. For example, reserve one slot for an Upper Mines Mushroom before descending if The Water Tablet is still active. The Upper Mines Mushroom section identifies that seal item; mines and seals covers the full Water Seal route.

At the end of the trip, move quest reserves and first discoveries to storage before the next run. The larger inventory avoids an early return; it does not replace storage for materials that do not belong on the next route.

If the upgrade is absent

• Basic Pouch is missing: it is the first 1,000t inventory upgrade sold by the General Store.
• Bag Upgrade is missing: finish Repair the General Store; that repair is its stated shop requirement.
• Bag Upgrade was bought but capacity is unchanged: use the item from inventory. It adds 10 spaces only when used.
• Inventory has 20 slots: buy and use Bag Upgrade to reach 30; it is the second expansion, not an alternative to Basic Pouch.
